Strategic and tactical problems in Fintech and e-business companies
The activities of fintech companies depend entirely on information technologies. In the case of a startup company, there are several stages of acquiring and using of information technologies for the needs of the business. In relatively small fintech companies, intuitive decision-making by managers regarding information technologies is in most cases enough for normal functioning of the business. But in relatively large fintech companies with complex organizational structures, it is very likely to emerge the so called "bottlenecks" - in them, the execution of some processes is delayed due to insufficient processing and handling capacity. This publication discusses some problems in fintech and e-business companies concerning the strategic and tactical management levels
Digitalization of banking services and methodology for building and functioning of Fintech companies
In the world of banking services, some sustainable trends have been observed globally in recent years, which strongly influence the forms of banking organization. In many cases, fintech companies are joining forces with banks to pursue a new common business, in which customer interaction is mainly through electronic means of communication. Very often it relies on the synergistic effect that leads to an increase in the efficiency of work of each business partner and the work on the common project as a whole. A major component in the digitization of banking services is the mobile or web-based information system through which employees and customers work. Fintech companies place qualitatively new requirements on the managers who manage such business structures. In addition to knowledge and experience in the field of financial instruments, a thorough knowledge of information technology is also required
Energy Efficiency Control of Home Heating
One of the possibilities for an efficient use of electrical energy for heating is to apply a certain temperature schedule for heating of the room. In case of optimization using the criteria of minimum electric energy consumption, the time it takes to reach a set temperature increases, and in time-optimal control, the electric energy consumption increases. This article proposes fuzzy control of the heating in a household room in accordance with the energy consumption, response time and accuracy, which is performed within an admissible range specified by the thermal comfort in the home
Application of the genetic algorithm for cascade control of a HVAC system
In this article the application of genetic algorithm for tuning of HVAC cascade system is proposed. The tuning procedure for a cascade system is very time-consuming and practice shows that additional controller tuning is needed when classical method is used. The main problem in classical method is the interconnection between the parameters of the two controllers. The proposed optimal tuning procedure overcomes the disadvantages. It is based on the following criteria: minimum integral square error, minimum settling time and minimum overshoot. The best process quality is achieved with PI controller in the inner loop and a PID controller in the outer loop of the cascade HVAC system. The proposed method for simultaneous tuning of controller parameters in a cascade control system can be applied in different control systems
Optimization of Convective Drying of Apricots
The purpose of this study is to realize multi-criterial optimization of the parameters of apricot drying. The drying experiments were conducted at a temperature of T=50÷80°C and velocity of ν=0.5÷2m/s of the drying agent. The dependence of the modified Page model’s parameters to the temperature and the velocity of the drying agent were obtained. The impact of the drying parameters on the quality indicators colour, β-carotene and vitamin С content in the dried apricots was studied. The optimal values of the drying parameters were determined applying different criteria: the quality of the final product, the quality of the final product and process duration, the quality of the final product and minimum energy consumption. The optimal values of the temperature and velocity of the drying agent according the criteria for the quality of the final product, the process duration and the energy consumption are T=63.5°C and ν=0.5m/s
